NULIFE's
Hydrothermal Liquefaction (HTL) Technology

OUR SOLUTION

NULIFE delivers advanced wet waste management, while creating innovative solutions for PFAS, emissions reduction, low carbon fuels and landfill diversion. We do this through our patented technology and a modular approach to R&D, manufacturing and commercialization.

BENEFITS OF OUR TECHNOLOGY

  • Transforms high moisture, industrial wastes into profitable carbon concentrated products and carbon credits, while reducing costs and emissions.

  • Addresses PFAS contamination

  • Reduce disposal fees and emissions

  • Modular and scalable technology

  • Lower capex design

Providing sustainable solutions to industry leading companies who desire to reduce their carbon footprint.

Our Sustainability Advantage

Our solution is driven by market drivers that are influencing our customer’s decisions, including C02 emissions reductions regulations, landfill and land-spreading bans, and the escalating price on carbon.

The US Department of Energy (DOE) and the European Commission recognize HTL the best solution for high moisture feedstocks with the greatest potential GHG mitigation for heavy transport.

Deliver Scope 1 and Scope 3 emissions reductions for customers

NULIFE’s process achieves 95% PFAS removal, with no detectable PFOS and PFOA in the output water.

How does it work?

NULIFE’s patented Hydrothermal Liquefaction (HTL) technology is a continuous thermal-chemical process that breaks down and liquifies organic materials. The reaction occurs under high pressure and temperature, using water as a catalyst to reform the organic materials into long chain hydrocarbons of renewable crude oil and char. It recreates how oil was formed on earth.

Let's do the math.

It costs North America close to $10B per year to dispose of biosolids (66M tons/year), not to mention the other 250M tons of organics that require disposal. NULIFE’s technology could produce 1.7B gallons of Renewable Fuels worth $22B from these biosolids.

  • PFAS (Per-and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances) are a class of about 9,000 compounds used to make products: heat, water, and stain resistant. Known as “forever chemicals” because they don’t naturally break down, they have been linked to cancer, thyroid disruption, liver problems, birth defects, immunosuppression and more.

  • Dozens of industries use PFAS in thousands of consumer products, and often discharge the chemicals into the nation’s sewer system.
